NSSLHA 2021-22 OFFICERS
I am your 2021-2022 NSSLHA President, I am so excited to see what this year has in store for the CSAD department here at Sac State! I hope to someday work with adult patients as an audiologist in a medical setting. A fun fact about me is I am obsessed with my dog, Sophie! Chances are she will make an appearance at one of our many events for NSSLHA this year. My goal for NSSLHA is to create a safe space for individuals to learn and explore more about our major while giving back to the community around us.
Hi everyone! I am humbled by this opportunity and I am beyond excited to see where this year takes us! I hope to work in early intervention (0-3 years) and collaborate with families to ensure children find a form of communication that works best for them, as early on as possible. A fun fact about me is that I am a mom of three, with my oldest being 5! Outside of school, my family enjoys anything and everything Disney! As VP, the two goals I envision our chapter focusing on this year are forming a strong and safe partnership between us all and to give back to our community in any way possible.
Hello! I’m so grateful to be your NSSHLA treasurer for the 2021-2022 school year! I am hoping to get into a master’s program after graduating this year, and become an SLP in a hospital. I have grown an interest in Neuroscience and would love to work with those who have traumatic brain injuries in the future. I can’t wait for the upcoming school year!
Hey there! I'm a transfer student from a CC who sought out to do nursing but discovered my passion for SLP at the Sac State career fair! I hope to work in a hospital setting with stroke patients as well as with children with Autism. A fun fact about me is that I started a handcrafted lash company at the age of 18 years old!
Hey! I am the Audiology Representative for NSSLHA, and I make sure our department has information about Audiology at all times! A fun fact about me is that I LOVE amusement parks so much that this summer I visited Universal Studios 15 times!!!
Second Bachelors Representative
Hi everyone, I am extremely grateful to be the second bachelor's representative this year and look forward to making wonderful memories with you all! I hope to someday work with adult patients in a medical setting. A fun fact about me: I absolutely love coffee and drink about 3 cups a day.
Salutations! I look forward to graduating next year and joining a master's program for speech-language pathology. My career goal is to work in a hospital setting and eventually transition to an early intervention private practice. A fun fact about me is, I love making travel itineraries!
Hello! I am the Fundraiser Chair for this year's NSSLHA Chapter! I am hoping to pursue a career as a Speech-Language Pathologist. I work with all of the amazing officers and create a variety of fundraisers and some volunteer opportunities for our cohort. Some fun facts about me are that I have a fraternal twin sister who is also in the major, and I enjoy exploring new places and trying new foods.
My name is Jade Silva and I am this year’s Junior Liaison for NSSLHA. As Junior Liaison, I am the main source of communication from NSSLHA to the Junior Cohort. In addition, I help with upcoming events and represent my cohort in NSSLHA meetings! One fun fact about me is that I grew up training as a ballet dancer! I love being on the NSSLHA board and am so humbled and grateful to be a part of the team!
