Aphasia Camp Northwest Adventure Weekend is an opportunity for aphasia survivors and their care partners to learn, try, and experience new things at the beautiful Oregon coast. This year, the Aphasia Network will be accepting visiting graduate SLP, OT and PT students to participate in Aphasia Camp Northwest Adventure Weekend. This event will be held Thursday August 22nd - Sunday August 26th at Camp MaGruder in Rockaway Beach, Oregon. Best Buddies International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Come listen to Sac State students, faculty, and staff share history, culture, traditions, economy, and other interesting stories from their countries of origin or experiences abroad. Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and experience the diversity of Sacramento State's community! Every Wednesday at 1pm and no RSVP needed.

Safe Zone Training is a 3-hour workshop aimed at creating safe spaces/zones on campus in people, organizations, and offices/departments. At the end of each training, individuals get "Safe Zone Stickers" which they can put on office doors/windows, water bottles, binders, laptops, etc., to show that they are safe spaces for LGBTQ students, staff, and faculty. The next Safe Zone Trainings for Fall 2019 are coming soon-stay tuned!

Come out and join the Head Trauma Support Project! They offer an amazing supportive social group for adults living with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). They are currently recruiting a few enthusiastic volunteers who are wanting to gain experience while making a difference in the community. Both Juniors and Seniors are encouraged to apply.
