Academic Advising Center offers mandatory freshman and transfer orientation, mandatory freshman advising, and general education and graduation requirement advising for all students. The center engages students and helps them clarify and implement individual educational plans consistent with their skills, interests, and values.

The Sacramento State CARES office provides support to students who are in crisis or experiencing unique challenges to their education. We coordinate referrals to campus and community resources and offer follow-up support to address a variety of issues
Working collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and administrators, Disability Access Center (DAC) provides a wide range of academic accommodations that ensure disabled students have equal educational access.

At the University Reading & Writing Center (URWC), we work as peer tutors to collaborate and guide student writers through all stages of the reading and writing processes. We value individual voices and diverse styles of expression. Our goal is to support the development of college-level reading and writing skills that empower students across the entire campus.
Support Centers and Programs
The Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) Center is committed to educational equity. The Center promotes and affirms the experiences of students who identify as part of the Asian, Pacific Islander, and Desi diaspora. The Center educates and engages with students to foster holistic, academic, and personal development to raise cultural awareness and advocacy needs.
The MLK Center is a central hub for the exploration of African American heritage and culture. The overall Center is designed to foster an ethos of success that permeates the scholarly experience, the community and the world by setting a tone of change and lifelong improvement that inspires and fulfills the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Students.
The Peer and Academic Resource Center's (PARC) mission is to promote the scholastic achievements of students through enriched and supportive peer-learning opportunities that aid students along the pathway to degree attainment.
The PRIDE Center provides students looking for a connection to campus with programs and events, access to resources on campus and in the community, a welcoming space, and opportunities for education about LGBTQIA communities and the intersections of many identities and experiences. We exist to create and maintain a campus environment that is open, safe, and supportive of student diversity in the areas of sexual orientation and gender identity/expression.
The Serna Center is dedicated to cultivating an environment that champions LEADERSHIP, EMPOWERMENT, SELF-ADVOCACY, and CIVIC ENGAGEMENT, not only among Chicanx/Latinx students but also for students from other under-represented backgrounds at Sacramento State.
The Academic Testing Center currently administers classroom exams on behalf of Sacramento State instructors for individual and/or small groups of students who require a reduced-distraction environment and other testing accommodations.
The WRC cultivates a safe space where students can be empowered and affirmed. We provide various resources and services to women-identifying students and allies. Our programming challenges sexism, socialized gender roles, and the patriarch. We also focus on gender identity issues and offer a platform for discussions with a feminist lens.
