Meet the 2025-2026 Board
President

Lauren Baleria
Hi! My name is Lauren Baleria, and I’m so excited to serve as the NSSLHA President for the 2025–2026 school year. I’m a senior at Sacramento State, born and raised right here in Sacramento. I’m passionate about giving back to my community, which has led me to volunteer in schools, care facilities, and hospitals. After graduation, I plan to pursue a graduate degree in speech-language pathology and eventually work in either a school or medical setting. When I’m not studying, I love to spend time with my family, walk my golden retriever, Ripley, or play pickleball with friends. Two fun facts about me are that my favorite color is purple, and my favorite dessert is red velvet cake 😄. I can’t wait for an amazing year with everyone. Stingers up!
Vice President

Maria Rivera Gomez
Hi everyone! My name is Maria Rivera Gomez, and I am honored to be serving as your ‘25-‘26 NSSLAH Vice President! I am truly excited to be part of this club and support our department. As a first-generation college student and transfer, I know firsthand how difficult it can be to navigate the steps in our major. That’s why my goal is to reach and assist everyone by making sure you feel supported both personally and academically. I hope to help each of you to the best of my ability, and I am looking forward to meeting and working with you all! I want to wish everyone good luck this school year, and if you ever have any questions or would like to chat, please don’t hesitate to reach out :)

Outside of academics, I love reading, walking my dogs, going to the gym, and spending time with friends and family.
